Jump 4 products currently support and run in AutoCAD Civil 3D 2012, 2011, and 2010 releases.
Every Jump 4 Release product is National CAD Standard 4.0 compliant.
To date we have found no compliance issues with the newer National CAD Standard 5.0.
Our Free Trial Release 4 product differs from the previous Free Jump releases.
The Free Trial product is only available for the current release of AutoCAD Civil 3D,
Many of the included changes also reflect the changes made in the Jump 4 2010-11 NCS 4.0 release of products. Upgrades of drawings and entire projects from any Jump 4 AutoCAD Civil 3D release product to Jump 4 2012 product are hassle free.
Upgrade Existing Work
Upgrades of drawings and entire projects from the Jump for AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 and Autodesk California Country Kit (Content Pack) product to this NCS 4.0 compliant release should be simple and reasonably hassle free. Minor script files need to be run to conform and upgrade files produced in a previous release to this release.
Current Jump Start Service customers are able to download these script file resources with new product downloads.
Free Jump 2010 customers may manually use RENAME and LAYER to make the changes or upgrade to Jump InstantOn Basic 4 2010-12.
How are The Jump 4 previous releases and Jump 4 2012 related?
ByDesign the Jump 4 product release supplies Jump Platform foundational support for future multiple International, US State DOT, and other "standards".
In other words, if you need to convert (publish) drawings and projects created in one "standard" format to another "standard" format that task will be substantially easier and require substantial fewer man-hours from any Jump products in any 4+ release.
We accomplish this with our Symbol Set technology delivered in specific Jump Kit Standard products and maitained and managed in the Jump Platform - We also call that: Jump Station.
We produced a "backwards" compatable Jump 4 2010-11 releases so customers may continue to confidently employ AutoCAD Civil 3D 2010 and AutoCAD Civil 3D 2011 to complete and maintain current projects.
Customers may also upgrade from any Jump 2010 products to Jump 4 products directly without major issues.
