The Washington State County Road Administration Board (CRAB) invites the Jump to its annual conference In October.
The Washington State County Road Administration Board has invited Tench Tilghman, the Jump's creator, to speak at their annual statewide conference this year in the first week of October 2009. A full morning of sessions are planned on the Autodesk USCA Country Kit (the open Jump Platform), and AutoCAD Civil 3D customization and implementation.
A number of country and local government agencies in the northwest have discovered, downloaded, and are evaluating and/or implementing the Autodesk USCA Country Kit/Jump Station.
Design Systems Program Engineer and staff conference lead, Jim Aryes PE, stated that a number of member agencies recommended to the Board that the other member organizations and conference attendees might benefit from a in-depth technical look at the Jump Platform. According to Mr. Aryes the county departments all face the challenge of moving from older AutoCAD based CAD software (Eagle Point). Most are now in AutoCAD Civil 3D but "struggling a bit". We see what you're doing as an in-depth and potentially useful way to simplify and speed the adoption of Civil 3D.
